A few days back, an uncomfortable video surfaced on social media in which Bhojpuri artist Pawan Singh was seen behaving inappropriately with actress Anjali Raghav. Along with Pawan Singh, Anjali Raghav was also criticised for not speaking out against it, and now, the actor has put out her official statement on the matter. She has also strongly criticised the incident and has made a big decision regarding the same. Read on.
What Did Anjali Raghav Say?
Anjali Raghav shared a video on her social media handle in which she addressed the ongoing Pawan Singh controversy. Anjali Raghav said that she had received a lot of messages and questions on why she did not react or even slap Pawan Singh for the inappropriate behaviour. The actor addressed these questions and the backlash, and in response said that she thought there was a tag showing from her saree, and therefore she laughed it off, and continued to speak to the audience. However, the actress further added that when she became aware that there were no tags coming out from her dress, she got angry and also wanted to confront Pawan backstage.
Anjali further said that she was asked by her team to not speak against Pawan Singh. However, when the controversy got bigger, she decided to address it. The actor further condemned touching any girl without her permission. The actor also said that she was not in her state Haryana, and was in Lucknow which was not her place. In the end of the video, Anjali Raghav clearly stated that she would not be working in working in the Bhojpuri industry. She was open to exploring new work, however, after this incident, the actor is happy to do work in Haryana.

In the video that went viral, Pawan Singh is seen touching Anjali’s waist several times while she is busy talking to the audience. The video drew a lot of criticism on social media with people calling out Pawan Singh’s behaviour.
