Aneet Padda Replaces Kiara Advani As Lead In Maddock’s New Horror Comedy Film, Shakti Shalini
According to a report by Pinkvilla, Annet Padda has been booked as the lead in Maddock’s upcoming horror comedy film called Shakti Shalini. The role was initially taken by Kiara Advani. The source also quoted that, “Aneet Padda has been in discussions for Shakti Shalini for the last two months, as Dinesh Vijan was on the lookout to infuse his universe with new energies. He loved Aneet’s work in Saiyaara and has decided to mount the next chapter of the horror comedy universe on her.”
The source also reported that the filming for Shakti Shalini is expected to begin at the end of this year. The director’s name for the project is yet to be revealed, but it is said that Munjiya director Aditya Sarpitdar is being considered for the position.

Internet reactions to this casting news were divided. Saiyaara and Aneet Padda’s fans were elated and said that they are proud of the young artist and praised how she managed to land a 3-film deal with YRF and also become a part of the Maddock universe. However, not all reactions were good, as some people say that the actress lacks the experience to lead such an important project and that Kiara Advani was a better choice for it.

Maddock Films’ Response
Maddock has also responded to the rumours about Aneet’s casting and posted an official statement on their Instagram account. In their post, the production house revealed that the reports are merely speculative as of now and asked people to wait for their official announcement about the official casting for the film.
