Ananya Panday Debunks Myth That Heroines Can’t Be Friends, Says She Supports Sara Alia Khan, Janhvi Kapoor!

Actor Ananya Panday is currently busy collecting the love and blessings showered upon her after the release of her much-anticipated show Call Me Bae. The actor has worked with many female actors and is also seen hanging out with her contemporaries such as Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. The actor has time and again clarified that she doesn’t need to be in any pit fight against women in the industry, instead, she cherishes strong female friendships with her colleagues.

Ananya Panday On His Friendship With Contemporaries

In a recent chat with  Prime Video’s Maitri: Female First Collective, Ananya Panday shared that she never misses a chance to be there for her friends Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. The Call Me Bae star emphasised the importance of creating a friendly and supportive environment for her contemporaries and also strongly believed in the power of female friendships.

Talking about her initial years in the industry, Panday says that she has become more vocal about her stand recently. She felt that through speaking up or even through cinema, there could be a change. “Even if one young girl comes up to me and says I am myself because you are yourself and I feel comfortable in my skin, for me that’s where I have done my job.” She said.

She further added that people keep pitting women against women but with her contemporaries Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor that’s not the case. She revealed that all of them tried to support each other publicly so that people could get a glimpse of what real female friendships looked like. we 100 per cent agree with Ananya Panday’s statement here. It’s so important for mainstream actresses to support each other so we can put this stupid catfight concept behind us!
