Ananya Panday On His Friendship With Contemporaries
In a recent chat with Prime Video’s Maitri: Female First Collective, Ananya Panday shared that she never misses a chance to be there for her friends Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. The Call Me Bae star emphasised the importance of creating a friendly and supportive environment for her contemporaries and also strongly believed in the power of female friendships.
Talking about her initial years in the industry, Panday says that she has become more vocal about her stand recently. She felt that through speaking up or even through cinema, there could be a change. “Even if one young girl comes up to me and says I am myself because you are yourself and I feel comfortable in my skin, for me that’s where I have done my job.” She said.
She further added that people keep pitting women against women but with her contemporaries Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor that’s not the case. She revealed that all of them tried to support each other publicly so that people could get a glimpse of what real female friendships looked like. we 100 per cent agree with Ananya Panday’s statement here. It’s so important for mainstream actresses to support each other so we can put this stupid catfight concept behind us!
