Nikhil Nanda, chairman and managing director of Escorts Kubota and the son-in-law of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, is facing serious legal allegations. A case of fraud and abetment to suicide has been registered against him and several company executives in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun district. The case was filed at the Dataganj Police Station following a directive from the local court.

Nikhil Nanda Booked For Fraud And Abetment To Suicide As Per Reports

The case revolves around the tragic death of Jitendra Singh, a tractor agency owner, who allegedly took his life due to extreme pressure from the company. His brother, Gyanendra, lodged the official complaint, accusing Nanda and others of persistently forcing Jitendra to meet escalating sales targets. The deceased owned Jai Kisan Traders, a tractor dealership in Dataganj, which he had been managing alone after his partner, Lalla Babu, was imprisoned over an unrelated family dispute.

According to the complaint, company officials allegedly threatened Jitendra with severe consequences if he failed to boost sales. The threats reportedly included revoking his dealership license and auctioning his property. Gyanendra claimed that Jitendra had repeatedly expressed distress over the relentless pressure from company officials. On November 21, 2024, a group of officials allegedly visited him again and issued similar demands. The following day, Jitendra was found dead, having taken his own life.

The FIR names several individuals, including Nikhil Nanda, Uttar Pradesh head Dinesh Pant, area manager Ashish Baliyan, sales manager Sumit Raghav, financier collection officer Pankaj Bhaskar, sales head Neeraj Mehra, and dealer Shishant Gupta from Shahjahanpur.
Jitendra’s father, Shiv Singh, stated that he was unaware of Nanda’s high-profile connections and reiterated his demand for justice. “I don’t know who he is. We want justice,” he said.

Furthermore, Escorts Kubota Limited released an official statement dismissing the rumours and said,
