Amitabh Bachchan Gives Health Update After Fall On KBC 18 Set, Says Injury Is Not Serious

In recent events, actor Amitabh Bachchan revealed that he suffered an injury to his left knee after slipping during a shoot for Kaun Banega Crorepati 18. He addressed this situation on the show and gave his signature monologue while sitting at the game podium, rather than standing on the stage as he usually does. Read to know more about it here.

Explaining the incident, Amitabh Bachchan said that he slipped and fell while shooting, which hurt his knee. The actor said that standing up was difficult for him after that, which is why he was seen sitting. He went on to reassure his fans that it was a minor injury and that they should not worry about the same since his work would continue as per the schedule. The veteran star further clarified that he did intend to stand up and interact with the contestants during the main gameplay segments while taking small breaks in between. He further said that the medical treatment was being handled on set and also confirmed that his professional commitments stay intact.

KBC 18 continues to broadcast on Sony Entertainment Television and stream digitally on SonyLIV across India. Apart from this, Amitabh Bachchan will also be seen in Nag Ashwin’s much-anticipated sequel to Kalki 2898 AD alongside Prabhas. He plays the immortal Mahabharata warrior, Ashwatthama, in the sci-fi franchise. The film had hiccups in filming the second part after Deepika Padukone walked out of the project because her basic demands were not met by the makers.
