Fans were shocked that even a naturally fair-skinned actor like her was made to look paler. Many called for photographers to stop using such editing techniques. User @renaebaehoney wrote, “If they’re photographing white people like this imagine how it would look on a black celebrity.” Another user, @friendlyyapper, wrote, “Asians obsession with such a pale skin and making celebrities look deadly pale is so weird. Hunter is so beautiful already now this shoot makes her look like she never seen daylight?!?!”
