In a time where social media judgment moves fast and often hits hard, especially when it comes to women, actors like Tamannaah Bhatia are bringing a voice of clarity to the conversation around cosmetic treatments. In a recent interview with The Lallantop, the actress addressed the taboo and the hush-hush that surrounds cosmetic procedures involving celebrities. Read on further for more details.
Tamannaah Bhatia On Celebrities Getting Cosmetic Procedure
During The Lallantop interview, Tamannaah highlighted the kind of scrutiny women in the entertainment industry face for their choices. She pointed out that it’s much easier for the public to pass comments on celebrities simply because their lives are more visible. “We tend to discuss what we see in the media, but those conversations rarely lead to any real understanding,” she explained. “There are many people whose lives we don’t know anything about and never will.”
For the unversed, her remarks came in the wake of public discussions around the passing of Shefali Jariwala. While initial reports cited cardiac arrest, later speculations pointed to the use of glutathione injections, often used in anti-ageing treatments, as a possible contributing factor.
Tamannaah didn’t directly address Shefali Jariwala’s death, but did speak up about how cosmetic treatments are taken into account today. She noted that younger generations are far more open about the procedures they choose to undergo, and rightly so. “No one wants to live under the pressure of judgment anymore,” she said, adding that the constant finger-pointing often pushes people to stay silent about their choices.

She also recognised that everyone, celebrity or not, deserves the freedom to make decisions about their bodies without being made to feel ashamed.
On the work front, Tamannaah is staying busy. She’s set to appear alongside Sidharth Malhotra in Vvan: Force of the Forest, scheduled to release next May. Fans can also look forward to seeing her in Amazon Prime Video’s Daring Partners, where she stars with Diana Penty, Nakuul Mehta, and Jaaved Jaaferi. The series is expected to drop later this year.
