In a conversation with AP News, Sue Kim shared that she asked Lisa about marriage and her personal life while making the documentary. The director felt it was important to include this side of the K-pop idol’s life. According to Sue Kim, Lisa was honest about wanting to get married and become a mother. However, she was also worried that her fans might not be happy with her decision.
The director explained that starting a family was an important goal for Lisa. She also felt that the K-pop idol’s busy career could make it harder for her to achieve this dream. Leaving out this part of Lisa’s life would have made the documentary feel incomplete.
Sue Kim also revealed that the K-pop idol spoke about her father’s health and how much she wanted him to walk her down the aisle on her wedding day. At the same time, she was concerned about how fans would react if she got married. Instead of trying to find a solution, the director decided to leave the topic open-ended. She explained that Lisa was still dealing with these feelings, and there was no easy answer to her concerns.
