All You Need To Know About Dharmendra’s Property Distribution Between His Two Wives, Six Kids

Bollywood lost its He-Man and veteran actor Dharmendra at the age of 89, and everyone is still grieving the void that he left here. The actor passed away at his Mumbai residence after a prolonged period of health issues that included many visits to the hospital. His funeral was attended by most of the industry, and now many are curious to know who shall inherit his massive fortune among his kids and two wives. Read to know about it here.

About Dharmendra’s Estate

Bollywood star Dharmendra’s estimated wealth is between Rs 400 to 450 crores, including a luxurious bungalow in Mumbai and a 100-acre farmhouse in Lonavala. The Lonavala space is a serene escape from the city and the place where he resided with his first wife, Prakash Kaur. His entire fortune is reportedly to be divided equally among his six children.

His kids include two songs and actors, Sunny and Bobby Deol, daughters Ajeeta and Vijeta from his first marriage and two more daughters named Esha and Ahana Deol from his second marriage with Hema Malini. Though this equal division might only be possible if the veteran actor passed away without a will, as per the Indian Inheritance law. The equitable distribution of assets between his two wives, Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini, remains disputed.

In an interview with ABP News, Kamlesh Kumar Mishra, a Delhi High Court counsel, said that while all six of Dharmendra’s children have a claim on his property, Hema Malini may not automatically inherit a share if his first marriage with Prakash Kaur is still lawful. His first wife may have a legal claim as his husband. It is because Hindu law prohibits polygamy and only accepts one lawful marriage. Some earlier sources suggested that Dharmendra and Hema converted to Islam to marry, even though he was still legally married to Prakash. If this is true, Hema will not be subject to Hindu law.
