After Rajpal Yadav, there were many reports of a cheque-bounce case related to Ameesha Patel. This case is related to a 2017-wedding event the surfaced recently. The actor addressed the reports and clarified that it was an old case which was settled. Ameesha Patel also shared more details about the case and that her lawyers are dealing with the false accusations that the man had made against her. Read here for more.

What Was The Case?

As per the reports, the 14.5 lakh cheque-bounce incident involving Ameesha Patel happened in 2017. The case was filed by Pawan Kumar Verma, who owns a company based in Moradabad. It was a related to a wedding-event. As per the complainant, Ameesha Patel was hired to perform at a wedding, and she was also paid 14.5 lakh in advance but the actor did not attend the wedding. However, she had assured them of returning the entire amount, as per Pawan Kumar Verma. As per an NDTV reports, and non-bailable warrant was issued against her for not attending a hearing on March 27.

What Did Ameesha Patel Say?

The actor took to her social media handle and acknowledged the media reports around proceedings happening at Moradabad by Pawan Verma. She further informed that it is a very very old case, and the matter was settled after the entire agreed amount was given to the concerned person. However, the actor further added that he had lodged a complaint again with false allegations, and that her lawyers are proceedings of cheating against the man. Ameesha Patel further wrote that she chooses to focus on her work and ignore people who were trying to get attention with false claims.
