Fans of All Of Us Are Dead have waited patiently and there’s finally an update on the return of Netflix’s hit Korean zombie series. First released in January 2022, the show exploded into popularity almost overnight, earning a top spot among Netflix’s most-watched non-English language shows. A second season was greenlit just months later, but then things went quiet, until now.
All Of Us Are Dead Season 2
After a long period of uncertainty and production delays, All Of Us Are Dead Season 2 is officially inching closer to reality. Filming is now set to begin later this year, and Netflix has confirmed a fresh batch of cast members who’ll be joining the blood-soaked survival drama.
The new season will welcome rising Korean actors Min-jae Lee, Si-eun Kim, Ji-hoon Seo, Ga-yi Yoon, and Jae-won Roh. They’ll star alongside familiar faces from Season 1, including Ji-hu Park, Chan-young Yoon, Yi-hyun Cho, Lomon, In-soo Yoo, and Yoo-mi Lee, all of whom shot to fame after the show’s massive success.
Season 1 stood out not just for its gore and action but also for its emotional storytelling, character arcs, and commentary on survival under extreme pressure. Moreover, the plot details for Season 2 are under wraps, but fans are expecting the second season to pick up from the first season ending, including the halfbies, or half-zombie hybrids, and what lies ahead for the survivors of Hyosan High now that they’re out of immediate danger.

Interestingly, two of the new cast members, Si-eun Kim and Jae-won Roh, have also joined Squid Game Season 2, another Korean mega-hit with global reach, suggesting Netflix is tapping into a core group of rising Korean talent for its major franchises. Writer Chun Sung-il, who created and wrote every episode of Season 1, is returning for the second instalment, promising continuity in tone and storytelling. There’s no release date just yet, but with filming set to start next month.
