As per a report by India Today, Alia decided to stay back due to respect for the prevailing situation at the border. Alia, who has been known for her sensitive performances in movies such as Raazi, felt that going to an international event during national unrest would be inappropriate, according to reports. A source close to the actress informed that although she is not withdrawing from the festival completely, her team is keeping a close eye on the situation. If things improve, she might still walk the red carpet on a different date during the festival.
