Alia Bhatt On Facing Body Image Issues

In a recent interview with Allure Magazine, star Alia Bhatt opened up about facing body image issues after she became an actor. She began by describing herself as a chubby and content child who had no issues growing up. Having said that, it all changed for her as soon as she became an actor. Bhatt revealed that she continued facing the issue even after losing weight. “I have struggled with body-image issues since then. No matter how much weight I lost, I always struggled,” she recalled. She shared that her friends would often ask her to stop dieting and live a little but she kept thinking, ‘Once a fat kid, always a fat kid’ in her mind.

Bhatt saw her viewpoint change while she was pregnant. She said she became very respectful of her body and found its powers to be fascinating. She came to the decision that, even though she worked in the industry, she would stop worrying about her weight or a swollen belly or being critical of the way she looked. This was such an insightful conversation. It’s a big thing when a major celebrity talks about such issues which makes others relate to them and follow them even more.
