Bollywood superstar Alia Bhatt is currently busy promoting her next big film Jigra alongside Vedang Raina. The duo will be seen playing the role of siblings and the audience already loves their jodi. Raina has garnered attention since his debut in The Archies and has been compared a lot with actor Ranveer Singh because of his looks. And now, Bhatt has also shared that Vedang Raina reminds her of her Gully Boy co-star Ranveer Singh!

Vedang Raina Reminds Alia Bhatt Of Ranveer Singh

During a recent chat in the segment Devara Ka Jigra between Alia Bhatt and Jr NTR hosted by Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt opened up about her Jigra co-star Vedang Raina. While praising him she said that the Archies star doesn’t realise how good he is and reminded him that he cries beautifully which is a good thing for a Hindi hero. She added, “He reminded me a lot of Ranveer Singh and I told him this as well.”

Bhatt said that the reminder was due to his dedication to his craft and felt it was a huge compliment. She went on to add that Raina sings beautifully and that director Vasan Bala thought that he was an old soul. She jokingly shared that she thought she was an old soul but Vedang Raina who was younger than her was about 60! She concluded by saying, “He has a lot of depth in him, which I think will take him really far.” Well, we do agree with that and can’t wait to see him in this film!

Jigra tells the story of a sister who adores her brother and would stop at nothing to keep him safe. Vasan Bala, the film’s director, also stars Manoj Pahwa. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Alia and her sister Shaheen Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions are co-producing the thriller.
