Alia Bhatt Pens Note On Winning National Award For Gangubai Kathiawadi As Proud Family And Friends Shower Congratulations

The National Awards were announced on August 24, and while there were some very expected wins, others came as a sweet surprise. Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon emerged as the winners in the best female actress category for Gangubai Kathiawadi and Mimi respectively. Congratulations poured in for the stars from all sides. Actress Alia Bhatt also reacted to her big win later that same day. She posted pictures and penned a heartwarming note to thank everybody on the cast and crew for making it possible. Many of her friends and family members from the film fraternity ongratulated her on the post.

We all were waiting for Alia Bhatt’s reaction after winning the National Award for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. The Best Actress award was shared between Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon. Both actresses expressed their excitement about sharing this prestigious award. On August 24, Alia Bhatt took to her social media handle to share some very happy pictures of herself that depicted her mood after winning the National Award. The first picture in this carousel post was Alia posing in her signature Gangu style. The other one was a selfie in which Alia had the biggest and brightest smile on her face. In the caption, the actress dedicated this award to Gangubai Kathiawadi director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the cast, the crew and the audience. The Darlings actress also stated in the caption that she does not take such wins lightly and promised to entertain her audience.

She had a sweet wish for Kriti Sanon too! Alia revealed that she had texted Kriti after watching her film Mimi. Alia Bhatt hailed the actress’s performance as a powerful one and also wrote how she cried after watching the film.
