Legendary actor Rekhaâs 1981 Umrao-Jaan, directed by Muzaffar Ali, will be re-released in theatres. Ahead of that, there was a special screening which was attended by many actresses, including Alia Bhatt, Tabu and Janhvi Kapoor, among others. Alia Bhatt recreated Rekhaâs iconic pink saree look from her film Silsila and and we just skipped a beat.
Alia Bhatt shared a carousel post on her social media where she is seen flauting her look in a simple and gorgeous pink saree. However, the first picture of this post is what got everyoneâs attention. Alia Bhatt was clicked with Rekha, and the two looked amazing. The priceless picture was adored by the fans. In the caption, Alia also wrote a little about her look for the special evening and said that it was an âode to the living legendâ. The Jigra star referred to Rekha as ReMaa and further wrote that there was and is nobody like her and there will never be.
