All the major spy films made by Bollywood fall under the YRF Spy Universe umbrella, which is currently the biggest banner that makes spy thriller projects. With films like Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Hrithik Roshan’s War, the YRF Spy Universe has delivered blockbuster films in this genre. Well, it has now expanded its universe to the next level with the inclusion of the first female spy-led film, and guess who is going to be the lead? None other than Alia Bhatt!

As a Pinkvilla report says, Alia Bhatt is going to be the leading star in the eighth film in the YRF Spy Universe. The untitled film is set to go on floors in 2024, and Aditya Chopra has planned a big-budget spy film starring Alia. A source close to this major development told the aforementioned entertainment portal that this project will likely push Alia Bhatt’s limits, to present a never-seen-before avatar of hers.

The source also added that this film is going to be an ‘action entertainer’ and also be a new thing for the audience and Alia’s fans to witness as there has been no leading female spy in Bollywood to date. The YRF Spy Universe has some other exciting spy projects also lined up namely Tiger 3, War 2, Tiger Vs Pathaan (starring Salman and Shah Rukh), and this Alia starrer.

Technically a first for Bollywood to have a female spy-led film, but Alia Bhatt already made her mark as a spy in Hollywood with the film Heart Of Stone. The film stars Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan, wherein Alia essays the role of a super-skilled hacker who causes Gal’s mission to go haywire.
