The report suggested that the likes of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna are being discussed as their ability to portray complex and unpredictable characters makes them compelling choices for the world of this film. As per sources, the idea is to bring an antagonist who is deeply layered and someone who can stand toe-to-toe with Sohum’s character in terms of intensity and depth.

Tumbbad was originally released in 2018. The film depicts the protagonist, Vinayak Rao (Sohum Shah), navigating the ominous night with his small son and a lantern in hand. The two are seen on a difficult journey, foreshadowing the dangerous quest that propels the story.
