The conversation garnered more attention after the recent Deepika Padukone and Sandeep Reddy Vanga row. During a recent event, Ajay Devgn gave his opinion and backed an actor’s demand of having an 8-hour workday, especially if they are new mothers. Read on to know more about what the actor said.
What Did Ajay Devgn Say?
The Drishyam star was present at the trailer launch of Kajol’s upcoming film Maa. His production house, Devgn Film, is co-producing the film with Jio Studios. During the media interaction, he spoke about an actor’s demand for having an 8-hour shift, especially if they are new moms. Ajay Devgn agreed with this demand and also said that many ‘honest’ filmmakers are also ready to accept this demand from an actor and work accordingly.
The actor further added that in today’s time, the industry also understands this demand, and it also depends from person to person. While Kajol was quite happy to hear this idea, as per the reports.
A few days back, there were reports that Sandeep Reddy Vanga had removed Deepika Padukone from Spirit featuring Prabhas over ‘unreasonable’ demands. One of them was a strict 8-hour shift, as per the reports. The actor was later replaced by Triptii Dimri. Later on, the director also made a cryptic post, where he did not mention names but slammed a particular star for putting younger actors down.
On the other hand, many people on the internet also criticised Sandeep Reddy Vanga for his commentary on the whole matter.
