Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s film Saiyaara impressed everyone and broke all box office records. And now, the film’s big OTT release on Netflix is exciting fans, as this marks the first collaboration between the platform and YRF. However, only the Hindi version of the film would be released, not the Telugu version. And ahead of this, Panday revealed how his debut film paid tribute to cricket player Virat Kohli.

During a chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Ahaan Panday opened up about giving a tribute to Virat Kohli through Saiyaara. He revealed that when Vaani (Aneet) tried cheering Krish (Ahaan) after he fought with his dad, she imitated Virat Kohli’s signature shot. He stated that he had to tap out various things before performing. The actor went on to explain how he would have to give up various things, including his habit of directing himself.
In the same interview, Ahaan Panday stated that they never really planned anything and would just learn the lines on their way to the set since they always wanted it to be genuine and authentic rather than mechanical. He indicated that they will prepare 80% of the lines, with some days definitely requiring additional rehearsing. Made on a budget of Rs 60 Crores, this Mohit Suri film starring Ahaan and Aneet Padda crossed Rs 577 Crores globally, shocking everyone. Reports claim that the film was sold to OTT rights to Netflix for Rs 25 Crores.
