Winter’s Chinese Fanbase Boycotts All Aespa Activities
The news of the boycott by Aespa Winter’s Chinese fanbase comes as a shock, and in K-pop, Chinese fanbases spend a significant amount of resources on their favourite group, which helps the group chart and make money. However, Winetr’s fanbase announced that they will not be supporting any group-related activities and will only focus on Winetr’s solo schedules. The Aespa fanbase has played a major role in album buying, streaming, and promotional events since their debut.
In their official statement, Winter’s Chinese fanbase expressed deep frustration with SM Entertainment.
They claimed Winter has been repeatedly overlooked in terms of promotion, even when she has major solo appearances. According to them, Aespa’s official accounts did not mention several of her recent activities, despite promoting other members’ schedules regularly.

They explained that after waiting years for SM to respond, they have finally given up hope and will now cease financial support for the group.
Aespa Winter is one of the most popular fourth-gen K-pop idols, loved for her vocals, visuals, and strong stage presence. The singer’s fanbase argued that Winter deserves recognition for her talent outside the group as well. Aespa as a group is also very successful in the industry. They are known for hit songs like ‘Next Level’, ‘Supernova’ and ‘Drama’. The group is also recognised for their signature futuristic concept.
