Aespa Members “Ignoring” G-Dragon’s Bow At MAMA Awards Enrages Fans!
A video showing how aespa members acted when G-Dragon passed by has everyone talking.
Just like always, the MAMA 2025 awards created massive buzz online with the list of winners and performances. However, now, another thing has caused havoc. A short video showing how aespa members acted when G-Dragon passed by has everyone talking. Many Korean netizens are angry and say the girls were rude to their senior. While others defend the 4th-gen group and say people are overreacting. Read on to know more!
The clip shows G-Dragon walking to his seat right in front of aespa. Karina quickly stands up first, and Winter, Giselle, and Ningning follow her. G-Dragon gives a small polite bow to all four girls, and Karina bows back, but it looks a bit “awkward.” The other three members stay standing quietly. Some say they looked away or just stared without moving. To many netizens, it seemed like only Karina showed respect while the rest didn’t.
They called it bad manners and said fourth-generation idols forget basic respect toward seniors. Some even demanded apologies from the members.

However, not everyone agrees. Many fans watched the clip again and again. They pointed out that the camera was far away and only showed one angle. In real life, the girls might have smiled or nodded. Others believe the members were simply shocked and star-struck. Seeing G-Dragon so close can make anyone stunned, especially younger idols who grew up listening to Big Bang. A few sharp-eyed fans added that the 4th gen idols smiled at him.
Currently, the discussion keeps growing on the internet. Some people want aespa to learn “basic manners” and apologise. Whereas, other people are asking K-netz to take a chill pill and not exaggerate the situation.
