Well, it’s no big deal for Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent to make headlines. Some days it is good news; some are not so much. Now, the show is back to making news for a Pakistani joke. The popular singer Adnan Sami has reacted to it in a sassy way. This comes after the joke was made on him in the latest episode featuring the Udta Teer star Ayushmann Khurrana.
What Did Adnan Sami Say?
In the latest episode of India’s Got Latent, Udta Teer actor Ayushmann Khurrana was one of the panellists along with Aditya Kulshreshth aka Kullu, comedian Rajat Sood and mentalist Suhani Shah. When Samay Raina asked Ayushmann about the plot of his upcoming film Udta Teer, the actor went on to call it the first patriotic comedy about a Pakistani spy who remembers patriotism but forgets his country. To this, Kullu quickly responds: he is Adnan Sami. Everyone laughs unanimously.
Adnan Sami reacted to this viral clip from the show and said that the rights should be taken from him first and then the film should be made. For the unversed, Adnan Sami earlier held a Pakistani passport, but he gave up his citizenship to become an Indian citizen in 2016. The singer, however, had moved to India in 2001 and, reportedly, his request for Indian citizenship had also been rejected twice.
