Dhurandhar: The Revenge is truly winning people’s hearts. However, it has also garnered immense backlash over a few scenes that have been circulating online.  This has also led to Sikh communities taking legal action against the filmmakers. Now shedding light on the same director Aditya Dhar, clarified that the images circulating online are fabricated and that strict action will be taken against the people who are doing this. Aditya Dhar took to his Instagram and shared a post in which he expressed being deeply grateful and indebted for the overwhelming love that Dhurandhar: The Revenge has received from audiences across the country and the world. The director pointed out that certain individuals are circulating manipulated visuals by morphing officially released promotional material using AI to create false and misleading narratives. While sharing an example of the same, Aditya mentioned that a fabricated image falsely depicts the character Hamza/Jaskirat smoking while wearing a turban. He clarified that this was completely untrue and does not form part of the film or any official material released by them. He mentioned that it was a deliberate act of misrepresentation intended to provoke and create mischief.

Strict Action Will Be Taken

Further in the statement, Aditya Dhar mentioned that he holds the highest respect for the Sikh community and every portrayal in Dhurandhar: The Revenge has been handled with utmost sensitivity, dignity, and responsibility. The filmmaker further wrote that any attempt to suggest otherwise through any doctored content is malicious and dishonest. Aditya urged the audience to rely only on official content and watch the film as intended, and not fall prey to misinformation. He concluded with, “Such acts will be dealt with firmly.”

As far as the film goes, it is still ruling the box office. Many are praising the cast and crew for the efforts that went into making Dhurandhar: The Revenge. ‘
