Adipurush Director Om Raut Kisses Kriti Sanon Goodbye At Tirupati Temple, Gesture Angers BJP Leader

Celebrities are often seen visiting religious places before or after the release of their films. Like, Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal also sought blessings from Ganpati Bappa after their film’s success. Similarly, Kriti Sanon and director Om Raut visited the famous South Indian temple in Tirupati before the release of their movie Adipurush. However, they are now surrounded by controversy after a BJP leader criticised them for a simple goodbye gesture outside the temple. Although, the leader deleted his tweet later.

Om Raut and Kriti Sanon paid a visit to the Tirupati temple in South India just days before their big release, Adipurush. However, Om Raut bidding goodbye to Kriti Sanon by kissing her cheeks did not sit well with many people. One of them was the BJP leader from Andhra Pradesh, Ramesh Naidu Nagothu. He was quick enough to criticise Om Raut and Kriti Sanon after the video of the two surfaced on the internet.

In the later deleted tweet, the BJP leader questioned the duo on their goodbye gesture outside the temple. Furthermore, he firmly stated that showing any kind of public affection like kissing and hugging in front of the Venkateshwar temple was considered to be demeaning towards God. The BJP leader also tagged Kriti Sanon and Om Raut in the tweet. And also shared the video in which the latter was seen kissing Kriti on the cheek while bidding her goodbye.

Adipurush is quite a big-budget film and has had two trailer releases as of now. The film will also feature Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh in lead roles. It is a mythological epic drama that will release on June 16, 2023.
