Produced by T-Series and Retrophiles and directed by Om Raut, the Indian mythological film based on the Hindu epic Ramayana starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage titled Adipurush released on the big screens worldwide on Friday, June 16 and to say that it left us all disappointed would be an understatement. The film was criticised by audiences and critics alike for the bad VFX and cheap dialogues but it looks like the film has managed to make Rs 340 crores in just 3 days of release!

Yes, you read that right. In an Instagram story, Kriti Sanon (who plays Janaki in Adipurush) revealed that the film has made Rs 340 crore global box office collection in just 3 days of release and we’re in shock. For the kind of criticism the film has received, we’re truly wondering how it managed to make all that money. More so, since people have been attacking the film, the makers and seeking a ban on it. Social media has been flooded with comments highlighting everything that went wrong with Adipurush. Well, it looks like hate watch is helping Adipurush earn money!

Earlier, Arun Govil, the actor who played the role of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan, launched an attack on Adipurush and heavily criticised the film.

In a chat with ABP News, Arun Govil shared that while he hasn’t watched the film but from the reviews he has heard, the actor called Adipurush “Hollywood ki cartoon”. He said that he did not like it and questioned the need to change the epic and modernise it. The actor went on say that he feels that maybe the filmmakers do not have faith in Lord Ram and Sita!

Well, we don’t know about faith but the film sure is bad and probably should not have been made!
