The Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor film Abir Gulaal faced a lot of controversy after Operation Sindoor. It was India’s response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam that took so many lives. The film’s release was banned in India as Fawad Khan is primarily a Pakistani artist, and tensions had escalated during that time. However, if reports are to be believed, then Abir Gulaal has finally got a release date in India. Read on for more.

Abir Gulaal Release Date

For the unversed, Abir Gulaal was banned in India amid the country’s escalated tension with Pakistan. The Pakistani artists were also banned in the country. Keeping these things in mind, the makers had also avoided releasing the film in India but they finally released it worldwide on September 12, barring India. However, as per the latest reports, the film’s makers have now decided to release it in India too with hopes that the film would appeal a lot to the Indian audience. As per a Bollywood Hungama report, Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor’s has finally got a release date in India and it is September 26. Also, there are no massive releases during that particular week, which could be beneficial to the film.

However, as of now, the actors or makers have not shared any official news about the film’s release, and till that happens, nothing is certain.

Fawad Khan was also criticised after he made her strong statement on Operation Sindoor, which was India’s retaliation to the terrorist attack. In this list was Mahira Khan and Hania Aamir too. The Government had banned Pakistani artists in India and their social media accounts were also blocked in the country.
