Abhay Deol Is Excited To Make Hollywood Debut With Australian Actor Natasha Basset In Rom-Com, Us Too!

Actor Abhay Deol has announced the international project he will be featuring in. The Bollywood actor will be seen with Natasha Bassett, an Australian who gained notoriety for her role as Elvis Presley. The two are teaming together for the romantic comedy Don’t You Be My Neighbor!, according to a report from Deadline! The film is being directed by Harry Grewal.

Abhay Deol’s International Film

Abhay Deol will make his international screen debut alongside Natasha, who starred as Elvis Presley’s first girlfriend Dixie Locke in Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis (2022), starring Austin Butler, and as Britney Spears in Britney Ever After (2017). To share this news with fans, Abhay Deol took to his Instagram on Wednesday and wrote, “Very excited to announce this project, this script took me back to the late 80’s and early 90’s era of the rom-com. Excited to work with the lovely and talented @natashabassett and director Harry Grewal.”

The Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara actor added hashtags such us grateful, rom-com, and a new project under his post. He will also be seen alongside veteran actors like Zeenat Aman and Shabana Azmi in his next Hindi film, Bun Tikki.

The film will show the strange bond between two people with very different outlooks on life and love: Jay (Abhay Deol) and Emily (Natasha Bassett). According to the synopsis, as they work through their divergent worldviews and life experiences, they are forced to face their assumptions and widen their hearts to novel possibilities. According to Deadline, main photography will start in and around Seattle, Washington, early next month.

The director also pointed out that this film will resonate with the audience as it focuses on the heartache of losing love and finding joy after that. He said, “It’s a story that needs to be told, and we are thrilled to be working with such an exceptional team.”
