Even with no social media presence, Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan has managed to build a good image in people’s minds. His immaculate screen presence in his debut film Maharaja stole the show, and he will be next seen in Loveyapa alongside Khushi Kapoor. During a recent conversation, the actor revealed that he auditioned for both Laal Singh Chaddha and Laapataa Ladies but didn’t get selected!

Junaid Khan Auditioned For Laapataa Ladies

Speaking to Vickey Lalwani on his YouTube channel, Junaid Khan revealed how he and Kiran Rao auditioned for the mother-son role in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. “You would have seen me in the film because I tested for it, along with Kiran Rao. She played my mother. We shot 7 to 8 scenes for the film over four days, amounting to about 20 minutes of footage,” he said.

He said that his father Aamir Khan wanted to see how he dealt with the material. All was good until it was decided that the film was too expensive to put new faces. During the same conversation, Junaid Khan revealed that he also auditioned for Kiran Raao’s Laapataa Ladies.

However, things didn’t work out for the actor as his stepmom Kiran Rao thought that Sparsh Shrivastava was better suited for the role. He said that he also agreed to his casting as he did a fantastic job. He also stated that even though he wasn’t selected for the role, their relationship remained unaffected. Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao are truly the people who put their work over their relationships. This is exactly the point of view we need for better people to suit roles in the industry.
