5 Thoughts I Have On Stranger Things Season 5 Part 1 Ft. Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp!

We waited for three long years for one of our favourite shows to return. Stranger Things, a science fiction horror series created by The Duffer Brothers, has a huge fan following and is well loved for all the right reasons. Season 5 of the show will be shown in three parts, and the first part was released on November 26. It stars the original cast of Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, and Maya Hawke, along with some new faces. The first part includes four episodes, and finally, I got some time to binge-watch. Here are our thoughts on the same.

1. Not A Fan Of El!

I really hope I get to change my mind in the next few episodes of the show. She has to be the dullest character in the new season. Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) hardly gets to do anything in these 4 episodes, each of which was about 1 hour long. There was no suprise factor in the character and the constant doubts related to her powers were quite annoying. Like you’re four seasons old, do something El!

2. Emotions Missing!

It’s understandable that there has to be all kinds of emotional closure for the characters this season, since it is the last one, but those scenes have not been done well! The emotions are missing somehow. For example, the conversation between Will and Mike about how the former could have superpowers, or Mike telling about superheros to his little sister Holly when she was scared at school, or even the constant back and forth between El and Hopper. The emotions did not hit hard in these scenes.

3. Fun Demogorgon Sequences

I definitely found myself hooked and on the edge of my seat in all the scenes that featured the demogorgons. Some of my favourite scenes were: the gang saving Derek from them, or the last fighting sequence in epsiode 4, or even when they take Holly. The action was engaging till the very end.

4. Derek: Most Favourite Character!

The only character arc that I loved in the first part was of Delightful Derek played by Jake Connelly. The actor steals the show in some moments and how! From a bully to a saviour, that arc we did not see coming! I hope this character is explored more in the coming episodes!

5. The End!

Undoubtedly, the 4th episode has to be my favourite in this part. All the interesting aspects about the show and plot development were reserved for the last, and they certainly delivered. Will finally taking control of his powers was very satisfying to watch. Now that makes me more curious about how he and El will team up along with the gang, against Vecna in the Upside D0wn.
