1. Homebound

Homebound is a Hindi film, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and starring Ishaan Khatter, Jahnvi Kapoor, and Shalini Vatsa. The film is about two friends from a North Indian village who pursue police jobs seeking dignity. However, their friendship starts to strain as feelings of desperation grow in their quest.

2. A Doll Made Of Clay

Written and directed by Kokob Gebrehaweria Tesfay, an Ethiopian student at The Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute. Starring Geeta Doshi and Ibrahim Ahmed, the movie is about a young Nigerian footballer who sells his father’s property to pursue a football career in India but ends up suffering an injury which makes him quit. He then seeks an escape through the healing power of his ancestral rituals.

3. The Second Wind

Directed by Indira Baikerikar, The Second Wind features stories of some incredible women including Mayura Shivalkar, who is a cancer survivor and a marathon runner and Nandinee Khosla, an actress who helps and supports cancer patients. Indira Baikerikar took the inspiration for her film from her daughter Mallika, a national level swimmer.

4. Tanvi The Great

Directed and produced by Anupam Kher and starring Jackie Shroff and Iain Glen, Tanvi The Great follows the journey of a young girl named Tanvi who faces challenges and finds strength within herself, exploring themes of loss, perseverance and transformation.

5. Charak

Charak is a Bengali-language film directed by Sheiladitya Moulik. The film revolves around Charak Puja, a traditional spring festival celebrated in Bengal. The film features powerful themes of belief and blind faith while unraveling the psychological and cultural issues that surround these spiritual practices.
