Everyone’s mornings got a little brighter today after the much-awaited teaser for Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, dropped. The glimpses of the actor as Lord Rama stunned everyone, and we can’t wait to watch what the makers have in store for us. And if you’re thinking that the trailer had no dialogue, these insane details did all the talking. Read to know what we’re talking about!

Hidden Details In Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana

1. The Crown vs The Exile

An interesting detail you might have missed in the Ramayana teaser is the shots going directly from Lord Rama, almost being crowned as king, dressed in royal finery, to him being dressed in simple robes, emotionally bidding goodbye to the 14-year-long exile. The teaser also featured the chariot given to him being pulled through a saddened crowd as he left the kingdom.

2. Protection Of Dandaka Forest

Lord Rama is said to have killed many giant demons to protect the sages in the Dandaka forest in the Aranya Kaandam. For the unversed, this is where he spent most of his exile. For instance, Khara and Maricha are some of the demon giants mentioned; it is also important to note that it’s not confirmed if they will be the same as those mentioned in the Ramayana.

Ranavna’s divine flying palace, called Pushpaka Vimananam, is also depicted in the film as a flying peacock. It’s a lotus-shaped flying object that was originally built for Kubera, and ultimately seized by Ravana, who used it to abduct Sita to Lanka. It is also the chariot that Rama uses to return to Ayodhya after the conflict, before giving it back to Kubera.

5. Jatayu’s Last Rites

Some graphics in the trailer suggest Rama administering Jatayu’s final rites. Jatayu, a long-time friend of King Dasharatha, dies while attempting to save Sita from Ravana’s abduction. To celebrate his unselfish and valiant sacrifice, Rama administers his final rites with the same reverence as he would for his father.
