From The Archies To Adipurush, 5 Films Of 2023 That Were Not Worth The Hype!
Disappointing AF!

The year 2023 was a great one in terms of the box-office releases. Some of them exceeded our expectations while some left us with nothing but disappointment. Well, it doesn’t feel bad when you don’t expect much from a film, however, this year, there is a list of films that were hyped before their releases, but failed to make any mark! Leaving fans and movie fanatics highly disappointed, including films like Adipurush, Fukrey 3 and the very recent The Archies. Here’s the list!
Adipurush
The Om Raut film starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan was based on Ramayana. The attempt to make it modern with the VFX only made the film unbearable and look nothing like the ancient Indian epic. Fans were also disappointed with the performances in the film, and except for Kriti Sanon’s graceful role as Sita, many users bashed the other actors. It was one of the highest-budget films released this year and yet it failed miserably at the box office!
Thank You For Coming!
The film was produced by Rhea Kapoor and directed by Karan Boolani. Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Kusha Kapila, Shibani Bedi and Dolly Singh. The sex-comedy film around the topic of female orgasm was a letdown in terms of the story and performances. The movie that promised to deal with the topic of female orgasm, something that is still considered taboo in the country, failed to add anything fresh to this conversation. Moreover, in an attempt to make it funny, Thank You For Coming only boiled down to being a hollow film on female orgasm.
Fukrey 3
Well, it would be a lie if we say that Fukrey 3 was not one of the most-awaited films of 2023. However. first, the trailer and then the film came as a huge disappointment. The not-so-funny jokes were kind of boring tbh, and this time the charm of Choocha also failed to work!
The Archies
Very recently, the Zoya Akhtar film with three-star kids-Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda dropped on Netflix. The musical drama set in the 1940s and based on the book of the same name was a film that had a lot of buzz around it. However, The Archies received a lot of criticism for their performances and direction. People expressed their disappointment with Zoya Akhtar’s musical drama because of a dull storyline that most viewers could not resonate with.

Dream Girl 2
After the success of Dream Girl 1, we all were looking forward to Ayushmann Khurrana’s sequel, but, well, it was not worth the wait. Dream Girl 2 had Ananya Panday as the lead. Unlike the first part, Dream Girl 2 could not make a place in the viewers’ hearts and it was not entertaining as well, Even though the performances were good, the film lacked finesse and entertainment!
