5 Disappointing K-Dramas That Did Not Live Up To The Hype
These dramas definitely did not hit the mark.

Every K-drama fan knows the feeling when a new show drops, the cast is star-studded, the trailer looks promising, and the hype is everywhere. But then you hit episode 3 and start asking, “Wait… is this it?” From dragging plots to underwhelming endings, some dramas just don’t deliver on the hype. Here are the 5 K-dramas that left us disappointed.
1. Wedding Impossible
Starring Jeon Jong-seo, Moon Sang-min, Kim Do-wan, and Bae Yoon-kyung. Na A Jeong, a struggling actress stuck playing extras, agrees to pose as her longtime friend Lee Do Han’s wife to appease his chaebol family. While preparing for her role, Do Han’s younger brother Ji Han, determined to secure his brother as the LJ Group’s heir tries to falter their plans. A show that could’ve easily gone out with a bang, instead, fizzled out weakly. The show that started as a loveable cliche mess, unfortunately ended as just a mess.

2. Impossible Heir
Starring Lee Jae-wook, Lee Jun-young and Hong Su-zu. The illegitimate son of a Korean conglomerate owner, Kang In Ha, teams up with his ambitious childhood friend, Han Tae Oh, to rise to the top of society. The drama suffered with both bad writing and disappointing acting. Impossible Heir had a pretty promising start but after only 2 episode it started going downhill. The motivation behind the action of the main leads are unclear and unexplored leaving the viewers dissatisfied.
3. Forecasting Love & Weather
Starring Park Min Young and Song Kang. Forecasting Love & Weather is a romance drama about the work and love in the office of National Weather Service, hotter than tropical nights and more unpredictable than localized heavy rains. Aside from an interesting premise and an impressive cast line-up the show has gained an onslaught of mixed-criticism due to its execution, lukewarm chemistry between potential love interests as well as certain screenwriting inconsistencies also.
4. Eve
Starring Seo Ye-ji and Park Byung-eun. Lee Ra-el devises schemes to take revenge on people who destroyed her family. With the help of her friend Seo Eun-yeong, she is determined to go after the richest families in the country. While the cinematography and acting for this drama was top notch it is the plot where things get bad. Eve had potential as a show but with its gaping plot holes, shoehorned romances and a bad ending it proved to be a disappointment.
5. The Bride Of The Water God
Starring Nam Ji-hyuck and Shin Se-kyung. The egotistical deity, Ha-baek, travels to Earth to find a magical stone. He seeks aid from a psychiatrist, So-ah, who immediately rejects him and his journey becomes harder when three gods appear. The story barely made any sense and even when it did, it left us wondering if perhaps they wrote a little bit of the script and then realized how many plot holes it has and then added onto it some confusing plot devices to explain the storyline but the end product was a chaotic mess.
