Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor will be next seen in Deva as a no-nonsense police officer.

One of the most versatile and hardworking actors in the Bollywood industry is Shahid Kapoor. The actor has time and again proved his skills with versatile roles in films like Haider and Padmaavat. During a recent conversation, the actor expressed his relentless drive to excel even after spending two decades in the industry. He stated how being star is a privilege and those who don’t understand shouldn’t be here.
Shahid Kapoor On The Importance Of Stardom
During a conversation on Raj Shamani’s podcast, Deva star Shahid Kapoor opened up about his earlier struggles in the industry. He said that he still feels the need to prove himself with every role he takes. “Yes, I still feel that way. When you’ve given 250 to 300 auditions, when you’ve been around people and seen the way they look at you, wondering whether they should cast you, and you realize that your work is good—it’s a privilege to eventually get the spotlight,” he said.

He expressed his respect for the spotlight and said that those who don’t respect it should not be here as it is very sacred. Starting his journey two decades back with Ishq Vishk, Kapoor said that it has been a constant learning and self-discovery path. He said that his learning after 21 years is that no one is better or verse, everyone’s just the best version of themselves.
Shahid Kapoor will be next seen as the no-nonsense police officer in Deva directed by Rosshan Andrrews and written by the duo Bobby-Sanjay. The film also co-stars Pooja Hegde, Kubra Sait, and Pavail Gulati. It will be released in theaters on January 31.
