In recent events, actor and politician Vijay has been making headlines after his wife Sangeethaa Sornalingam filed for a divorce against him and reportedly alleged cheating as a reason for the same. Speaking at the Women’s Day event organised by his party TVK, the actor urged his supporters not to be distracted by these alllegations and focus on people’s issues. Read to know more about it here.

Standing before a hall filled with women party workers on Saturday, Vijay addressed the recent controversies surrounding him and noted that many of his supporters were getting caught up in responding to the allegations. He urged them not to be troubled by the issue and instead focus their energy on addressing people’s problems.

Vijay also expressed that it pained him to see his supporters hurt by the situation and encouraged them to stay confident, assuring them that things would eventually turn out well. His remarks were met with loud applause from the audience. While he did not directly mention the legal case, many supporters viewed the statement as his response to the ongoing debate around his personal life.

Earlier the same day, new developments surfaced from a petition filed by Vijay’s wife before the Chengalpattu District Court. Sangeetha has sought an interim order allowing her to continue residing in their matrimonial home on Chennai’s East Coast Road while the divorce proceedings are underway.
