Rasika Dugal On How Filming Season 1 Of Delhi Crime About Nirbhaya Case Changed Her Safety Instincts
When asked how shooting for Delhi Crime impacted the cast’s safety instincts, Rasika Dugal shared two things that she finds terrifying after filming the first season of the show, which centred around the Nirbhaya r*pe case.
“After season one, I have never looked at a white bus in the same manner ever again in my life.” Opened up Dugal. Another thing that now scares Rasika is the sound of a rod that is often heard on construction sites. “Both these things are frightening things after season 1,” said Rasika Dugal.
For those unversed, Season 1 of Delhi Crime was about the brutal and horrifying r*pe case of Nirbhaya that shook the entire nation. A 23-year-old physiotherapy intern, known by the pseudonym Nirbhaya, was gangr*ped and assaulted with a rod in a moving bus in South Delhi.
Nirbhaya passed away after being hospitalised for 13 days, and the entire case sparked national outrage, with citizens of the nation rallying for better safety for women and justice for Nirbhaya.
