Exclusive: Sahiba Bali On How She Dealt With A Stalker: “It’s A Very Easy Process And Women Should Do It”

We often ignore taking action against people who troll on social media with fake IDs. And with the rise in the use of social media, cyberbullying and stalking have also increased especially for women. In the recent episode of Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist, content creator Sahiba Bali revealed how she dealt with her stalker and made sure to give them a strong lesson for their action. In conversation with Siddhaarth Aalambayan, Sahiba Bali shared some important information for women!

Sahiba Bali On Cyberbullying, Stalker

In the latest, The Male Feminist episode, content creator Sahiba Bali spoke about trolling on social media and the disgusting messages that some people put out for her on various platforms. She said, “I always delete comments that overs*xualise my pictures. But most of them are bot accounts and I always keep a check. I once filed a complaint at cybercell too.”

She further revealed, “It was not about a comment or photo, this person was obsessed with me and my life. And they used to take some facts from my life and make fake stories out of it on Reddit, Instagram and every other site. But the creepy part was that their facts were always right. They knew about the person I was meeting, the time and date even if I did not share anything on social media. Then I started questioning how can they be so right. Many delusional stories were made by the stalker.”

Sahiba  Bali then discussed the process of filing the complaint. She said, “I spoke to my lawyer friend. So we can either talk to the women’s cell or the pro-bono lawyer if there is a budget crunch. They just have to write a complaint letter to the police against the person. So I got two letters, one for the police and the other for the cybercell. So the cybercell gives a threat to the stalker over a call.” She added, “What worked was my lawyer sending a restraining order to the stalker through the mail. In this mail, my lawyer gave a warning that if they continue their actions, they will either have to pay a lump sum as a fine or would be taken to the police station.”
