Of course, this would lead you to think that everyone’s phone camera is facing some problem or something, because where is the colour? But besides that, let’s talk about the lockdown laments, shall we? We’ve not had househelp for the longest time. It’s been horrible. Working, doing the vessels and sweeping the floor are just some of the things I have been doing. I mean, you would think those are simple things but have you ever had to endlessly wash bartans? Those things magically reappear and usually with interest – as in there are more than you washed in the last batch. But you know what this has taught me? I mean, besides the value of dish washing liquid? That househelp is important. And when mine comes back, you can bet your last dollar that I will be at the door like Jaya Bachchan in K3G with a thaali and diya to welcome them home. Yes, it’s a tad dramatic but I have missed them sorely. Unlike this woman from Gurugram who was mighty upset that her house help asked for a raise. We talk about that today.
