I Got My Hair Coloured Red And My Hair Expert Debunked Many Hair Colouring Myths

I know I am an exception. No, not as a person. I know that I am different because actually, genuinely love my job. I work with really cool people, I get to meet interesting people and there are many, many perks- mainly that I get to write and breathe beauty. Of course, there’s also the fact that there are perks. One that I recently enjoyed tremendously was when I met my namesake Mansi Srivastav and we both got our hair coloured. Yes, I got my hair coloured. And I chose to go with a fiery, hot red. Mansi Srivastav, went with a subtle yet fabulously neat brown and copper tones that looked smashing on her.

I know. I know. You don’t just like wake up and decide to colour your hair. You think it through – the colour, whether it will suit you, whether your hair can handle it. And so we turned to Heena Dalvi, National Technical Head, Godrej Professional and picked her brains about what we should and shouldn’t do with our hair. She was really sweet, telling us about the colours, taking us through the technicalities of the process and suggesting a very effective hair care routine, post the colour.
