We all have experienced that mini heart attack when we do not find our phones in our pockets or in our bags, right? And let out the biggest sigh of relief when we locate it. We have also heard stories of the ordeal one has to go through if the phone is actually lost. A Twitter user shared a similar incident that happened to her about how she lost her phone and a group of auto-rickshaw drivers helped her find it. She also shared how Mumbai city’s helpful nature is the best!
The Twitter user’s handle is @historywali who shared a long thread of how she realised she lost her phone to how the kind autorickshaw drivers helped her find it. She started by writing about how her heart sank when she found out her phone was not in her bag.
Then, she wrote how she turned back to reach Versova Metro station, hoping she will find the driver whose rickshaw she came in.
After letting the driver what had happened, he immediately checked his rickshaw to see if she had dropped her phone but unfortunately, it wasn’t there.
They tried calling her number, hoping her phone would ring and someone would pick up. Other rickshaw drivers also had started gathering around to help by then.
When they called again, the call went through and started ringing. But no one picked up.
Many auto drivers began calling the Twitter users’ number so that someone who has her phone would pick up.
By this time, the Twitter user had realised that she is not going to get her phone back, and that she would have to file an FIR.
One of the rickshaw drivers who was proactively helping the Twitter user find her phone dropped her back at Versova jetty.
But just as she was about to catch the jetty back home, the rickshaw driver Nilesh shouted that her phone had been found.
A guy named Rahul Kumar had found the phone and was around DN Nagar Metro Station.
Turns out Rahul Kumar is a Swiggy delivery guy and had moved to Azad Nagar Metro Station and he called this Twitter user there to collect the phone.
This Twitter user was empty-stomached and had a roller-coaster ride since morning.
But Rajul Kumar finally turns up wearing his Swiggy uniform and a raincoat on a bicycle to deliver her phone.
This Twitter user wrote an emotional note about how everyone helped her when they easily could have been unconcerned. But that is the spirit of Mumbai.
