Taapsee Pannu Thinks ‘Haseen Dillruba’ Costars Vikrant Massey, Harshvardhan Rane Were Scared Of Filming Intimate Scenes With Her. Interesting!

If you’re a Twitter troll or have a phobia of being slapped, you’re probably scared of Taapsee Pannu. And your fear would be legit. But when she said that her Haseen Dillruba costars Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane were scared of filming intimate scenes with her for their film, I was a little confused. Arre, aisa kya kar diya yaar Taapsee ne? Turns out, it’s because of her ‘image’. Say whaaaat?

Taapsee will soon be seen in Haseen Dillruba on Netflix, a thriller by Vinil Matthew, where she plays a wife who is accused of killing her husband and must now prove her innocence. Of course, things are a tad more twisted than they appear on the surface. Her character apparently has an affair with a hot hunk, and her husband who looks too seedha small-town guy, might not be as innocent as he seems. The film’s trailer has generated quite the buzz, with audience already coming up with their own theories of what the twist is and loving Taapsee’s bold, oomph-oozing look in the film.

In a recent interview for the film though, Taapsee has revealed that her costars were afraid of what she would do to them during the intimate scenes they filmed for the movie! She surely meant this as a joke, but it really makes one curious why Vikrant and Harshvardhan would feel that way. Taapsee didn’t clarify much but said it was probably because of her ‘image’. Ooh interesting!

“I hope I made it comfortable for the guys, because they looked very scared. They thought pata nahi yeh kya karegi hamare saath. Both the guys were, I felt, really scared because, I don’t know, the image I have or what the problem was… But I used to go to Vinil and complain….”

It’s common to hear the female actors being uncomfortable while filming sex scenes, which has finally prompted leading film industries to employ intimacy coordinators on their set. But this seems like the guys were more afraid of what pranks Taapsee would play on them and make them laugh in the middle of a sensuous scene, or maybe that she’d be so good at them that they’d look unprepared! I wonder what this ‘image’ is! Maybe Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan, who’ve previously worked in a similar love triangle setup with Taapsee for Manmarziyaan, would be able to shed some light on this!

The actress, who has a bunch of big releases lined up, including Rashmi Rocket and Shabaash Mithu, was also asked how she’d handle the conversation about doing intimate scenes on screen with someone she was dating.

Said Taapsee, “I don’t tell my partner about my intimate scenes. It’s my professional life, and I keep it far, far away from my personal life. I don’t expect him to take permissions from me in his professional life, so he should expect the same thing from me.”

Haseen Dillruba is all set to release on Netflix on July 2.
