Sushmita Sen Opens Up About Her Breakup With Boyfriend Rohman Shawl, Says Closure Is Important
When you’re in a relationship with someone for over 2 years, you share a shit tonne of memories – the good, bad, and the ugly. So, when that relationship ends, a piece of you chips off with them and it can be quite painful. Honestly, I believe that it is even worse for celebrities whose personal lives are always a topic for the media. But then there are some celebrities who handle it really well – I mean, they open up about their personal lives before the media can make a big deal out of it by spreading rumours. Sushmita Sen is the queen of that. She’s always been vocal and honest about her relationships. In fact, even when she broke up with her now ex-boyfriend Rohman Shawl, she took to her Instagram and posted about it. And now Sushmita Sen has come out and spoken about her breakup and how important closure is for her.
Sushmita Sen in an interview said that she likes being honest and about her life whether it be professional or personal. And speaking about her personal life, she said that the reason she made her breakup with Rohman Shawl public was that for her it was a matter of closure.
Speaking about her breakup with Rohman Shawl, Sushmita Sen said, “For me, closure is a big thing. When you are a public figure, the person involved with you is also in the public eye. Even if the person is there because you have put them there. So, it is not fair for his life or your life to be stuck with everyone feeling something or thinking it’s a relationship”
Sushmita Sen further spoke about how closure is important for both the people in the relationship so that they can move on in their own lives. She talks about how though the relationship ended but their friendship has remained and that she’d rather not waste her time thinking about the bad things that happened in their relationship.

As per Hindustan Times, the 46-year-old actor also added that she’s learned a lot from all her relationships. Sushmita Sen also opens up about how she has grown in every relationship and how it has helped her speak the truth about it openly.
The Aarya actress becomes even more vocal about her breakup with Rohman Shawl and confesses, “I’m 100% person. When I’m in love, I’m 100%. So, when we leave gracefully, we must do that 100%. Whatever the reason be, your life is not about being in a loop.” Sushmita Sen further adds, “The truth is incredible because it allows people to remain friends and to be good to each other. The world needs that love. There’s enough problems in it already.”
I really like how the Main Hoon Na actress handles her relationships. The honesty and genuineness with which she speaks her truth always gets to me. And I can easily say that this trait is not very evident with other Bollywood actors.
