Singer Bob Dylan Accused Of Allegedly Grooming, Drugging, Sexually Abusing 12-Year-Old Girl In 1965
In what has been a shocking news amidst everything else that has been happening in the world, 81-year-old American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan has been accused by a woman of allegedly grooming, drugging and sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl multiple times in 1965. He is currently being sued over this in a lawsuit that has been filed in the New York Supreme Court, in which the young girl is identified as only ‘J.C.’
According to the lawsuit, Bob Dylan, whose real name is Robert Allen Zimmerman, during a six-week period between April and May 1965, allegedly “… exploited his status as a musician” to gain the girl’s trust, groom her and obtain control over her, all as a part of his plan to sexually molest and abuse her.

“Defendant Dylan engaged in outrageous conduct towards Plaintiff with the intention to cause, or with reckless disregard for the probability of causing, Plaintiff to suffer severe emotional distress,” claims the lawsuit. It also states that the events left the girl, now a woman of 68, “emotionally scarred and psychologically damaged to this day.”
Though the victim lives in Greenwich, Connecticut, the lawsuit has been filed in New York since the alleged abuse happened at the Chelsea Hotel in New York City, where the singer was living during that period.
Neither Bob Dylan’s manager nor agent have made any statements on his behalf. However, a spokesperson has denied any truth in the 56-year-old claim and has said that it will be “vigorously defended”.
Bob Dylan has won countless awards in his decades long career as a singer songwriter whose songs have had a profound impact on pop culture. For this, he has won a Nobel Prize in Literature, along with ten Grammys, an Oscar and a Golden Globe, as well as his name in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, amongst others. The news comes as a shock, with many refuting the claims as untrue, because the singer’s travel records for those six weeks indicate that he was on a major tour in England at the time, and not even in the country.

If you’re going to make up a story about someone as well documented as Bob Dylan in the 60s, maybe don’t set it in he month that one of the most famous music documentaries of all time places him on tour in another continent.

So far, there has been no revelation of the damages sought by the plaintiff, but there are those who believe this is merely a ploy to seek money. However, we won’t be setting store by social media trials and it is only fair that we support the alleged victim who has come forth to tell her story, while letting the law take its course.
