Don’t know about anyone else, but celebrities sure go by the motto ‘when you’ve got it, you flaunt it’. From their sleekest hair pin to their shoes, every little detail from their look is emulated by the masses and so they keep their style game top notch with the most fashionable (and sometimes pricey) outfits and accessories. Women’s fashion, especially, is watched like a hawk and copied by the fashion buffs. That is why you see female celebrities taking their airport looks and gym looks as seriously as their red carpet looks, sporting high fashion shoes and ridiculously expensive bags even off-duty. And, why won’t they? These are the women who work hard, earn a bomb and flaunt their wealth through their envious style statement.
One such celebrity who always tops her style with accessories that come with hefty price tags is Shilpa Shetty. She recently stepped out in gorgeous Saint Laurent Opyum 110mm black sandals that made waves for how pricey they were. Okay, they were worth a king’s ransom to tell you the truth. The heels from one of the most high-end luxury brands cost exactly $2,167 which equates to INR 1,59,743. Yup. Shilpa shelled out 1.5 lakhs for the heels but seems like it was worth it, ’cause she looked like million dollars too.
She wore the heels with a black cut-out top and a pair of relaxed fit black leather pants and the whole look came off looking classy and effortlessly chic. She wore the look to a dinner she hosted for her friends at her newly opened outlet of Bastian chain of restaurant that she co-owns. Honestly, if I was busting my ass working as an actor, entrepreneur, fitness influencer and producer, I would be stepping out in the most extravagantly priced heels too, thanks!

The shoes are undeniably classy and timeless piece to add to your wardrobe given its aesthetic design and classic black and gold colour that goes with literally every outfit. The signature YSL placed as heel makes it even more enticing for a date night accessory. The description for the shoes on the brand’s page reads, “Sandals with a structured heel decorated with metal YSL initials and featuring an adjustable ankle strap.” Shilpa has a covetous shoe collection and is spotted in most experimental and glamourous footwear every time she steps out. She is seldom seen in flip-flops or sneakers and by the looks of it, her style is more feminine and avant garde with high heeled pumps and stilettos being major fixtures in her shoe wardrobe. And we are jealous (asf) of her footwear closet.
What we hate is an expensive piece of shit (read fashion accessory) going to waste with an unflattering outfit but that wasn’t the case here. Shilpa looked super chic and did justice to the stunning heels. I want! But since it would probably burn a hole of 1.5 lakhs in my pockets (which I don’t even have TBH) and I genuinely love my kidney, I think I’d just secretly add it to my Christmas wish list and hope for a Christmas miracle.
