Sana Khan’s Style Is Proof That Modest Fashion Can be Effortlessly Chic And Super Fashionable.

It’s not always the low-cut necklines, thigh-high slits and sleeveless slips that are sexy and stylish and the modest dressers are proving this true every day. Although modest fashion is gaining momentum with more and more clothing brands coming up with hijabi styles, there are only a handful of celebrities and fashion bloggers who serve us inspiration. One of the celebrities who have taken up modest dressing as a way of life, is Sana Khan, or I should say Sayied Sana Khan.

The Bigg Boss fame recently got married and changed her name to Sayied Sana Khan. She parted ways from the glamour world quite some time ago to follow the spiritual path and recently tied the knot with Surat-based cleric Mufti Anas Sayed. Her pictures were all over the social media where she made a beautiful bride in a gorgeous red lehenga and another where she is wearing a white wedding gown and a bridal headscarf veil. After a quick scan through her Instagram feed, I can say that she is making a strong case for modest fashion and proving the covered-up dressing could be simplistic and chic all at the same time.

Sana announced through an Instagram post that she has officially given up acting and would be spending her life in the service of humanity. Adopting the religious path also required her to dress up in styles that incorporated modesty which meant loose-fitted and opaque clothing with long sleeves and legs covered up. She also wears hijabs and does full justice to it, style wise.

Her style statement is minimal, fresh and uber stylish. She switches between different hijab styles including turban, headscarf and basic and experiments with fabrics, textures and even different wearing styles. Her outfits are mostly a blend of sophisticated styles with chic fashion elements like an oversized shirt with a sleek waist belt, basic co-ords with statement sleeves or a chic jumpsuit. Her pandemic fashion has featured quirky masks that perfectly contrast with her outfit and her hijab.

If you are looking for some modest clothing inspiration or simply wondering how to do the layer-up clothing right, since it’s winters, here are modest fashion looks from Sana Khan’s Instagram that we absolutely loved.

Minimal and classy, Sana’s colour coordinated outfit in neutrals like black and white is the most simplistically fashionable look we’ve spotted. How she made this basic outfit stand out is by wearing a velvet turban hijab and gold earrings. The dramatic sleeves are basically a 101 on how to pick an outfit for modest dressing that’s still super interesting.

This button-down blush pink jumpsuit in a shimmery fabric isn’t for the fashion minimalists but it is for modest dressers who want to get out of their comfort zone and experiment with something super stylish. Sana teamed the outfit with turban hijab in a complementing, deeper hue, burgundy, that’s going so well with the whole look. Her pearl encrusted round earrings from House Of Shikha are to die for.

If you are someone who doesn’t like to put too much thought into an outfit but still want it to be no less than runway-ready, here is a style hack for all you modest fashion lovers. Wear your basic pullover and add some accessories like a belt to make it instantly stylish. Don’t forget to match your hijab or headscarf with your accessories. Effortless and elegant!

Masks have become legit fashion accessories and there are outfit options that come with a matching mask. However, Sana put this accessory to good use by pairing a lace black face mask (which we hope is protective) with her outfit that’s a bit feminine. She wore a printed maxi dress and layered it up with a pastel grey jacket and scarf in the same shade over her head. For accessories, she wrapped a belt around the dress and well, there was that pretty mask, of course, completing the look for her.

For what seems like a cool and casual day out, Sana kept her fashion game pretty cool and causal too. She wore a loose-fitted long white shirt over black bottoms and paired it with a scarf that breaks out the monotony of the outfit with its perky colours and checkered print. The mask with the similar shades of the outfit is tying the whole look together. Never knew you could use something as boring as a face mask to your styling power and make an understated look fashionable and street style worthy.
