5 Times Vijay Raaz’s Alpha Male Jauhari From Made In Heaven 2 Was A Feminist Ally

After waiting for nearly 4 years, we finally got to watch Made In Heaven 2. In season 1 of the show, Vijay Raaz’s Jauhari left a mark on us with his desi but secure businessman who didn’t shy away from being himself. But he was the breakout star in season 2 as he plays businesswoman Bulbul Jauhari’s feminist ally husband. NGL but the man is a total green flag, wondering why? Well, here are 5 reasons why Jauhari is not only a feminist ally but a green flag man this world needs!

1. He’s An Equal Opportunity Employer

Vijay Raaz’s Jauhari doesn’t shy away from calling out Tara and Karan for hiring Meher who is an expensive hire for their wedding planning company Made In Heaven which is running in loss. But at the same time, he also tells Trinetra Haldar’s transwoman Meher Chaudhry that he admires a woman who knows her worth. This world needs more employers like him!

2. He Uses His Male Privilege To Help Women

Jauhri isn’t a man who is oblivious to his male privilege. He’s well aware of it and he uses it to uplift women and their position in society. The evidence in question is how he saved Bulbul from her abusive husband in the past. Another thing to note is how every time Bulbul’s elder son Dhruv disrespects her, Jauhri exerts his power to let Dhruv know that he has to listen to his mother and respect her. He doesn’t hesitate to call out Dhruv when he slut-shames the girl that the boys abused.

3. He’s A Feminist Ally Alpha Male

We often hear people talk about how feminist men are powerless and emasculated but Jauhari is proof that they’re not. On the outside, he’s a stereotypical alpha male, a money lender and businessman but at the same time, he’s also someone who doesn’t blink an eyelid while being a feminist ally. He asserts power as an alpha male but also truly respects women and treats them right.

4. He’s Progressive, Not Modern

Vijay Raaz’s Jauhari may look like a stereotypical alpha male but he’s not someone who’s modern enough to “allow” his wife to work. In fact, he empowers her without taking credit for it. Another instance which shows that Jauhari is a progressive man is when he’s speaking at the meeting with the parents of Dhruv’s friends who were involved in abusing a girl and blackmailing her. He quickly points out that in this day and age, girls and women need to make noise when they’re abused and they shouldn’t stay quiet.

5. He Isn’t Insecure

It may be his money in the business but since it’s run by Bulbul, he calls her a businesswoman. He’s not the kind of man who is insecure about his own wife being more successful than him. If anything, he’s proud of her and time and again points out that she’s a successful businesswoman. He also reminds Dhruv again and again that his lifestyle is sponsored by his mother who worked hard to get where she is.

Having said that, Vijay Raaz’s Jauhari isn’t someone who screams and tells the world that he’s a feminist. He silently supports women and uplifts them from the background without expecting to be glorified for what he does and that’s what makes him a true feminist ally.
