Did You Know Spiritual Leader Osho Owned 93 Rolls-Royces? Here’s Where They Are Now!
Did you know about Osho's stunning Rolls Royce collection?

Most people might have come across the Netflix docu-series, Wild Wild Country. The documentary follows the spiritual leader Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, also known as Osho. Oshi and his followers established a city, which they built together; however, controversies and scandals tainted the entire project. As you know more and more about the Indian godman, questions keep arising like, how was the guru able to own 93 Rolls-Royces, did he use them and what happened to the cars when Osho fled the country eventually. Here is everything you need to know about Osho and his 93 luxurious cars.
Osho Gets His First Rolls-Royce
When Osho first arrived in America, he proclaimed that he was the messiah that the country had been waiting for. He resided in a castle-like mansion with his followers in New Jersey. It was here that Osho had gotten his first Rolls-Royce, a Corniche model with a sporty two-door. He said riding in the Rolls gives him the tranquillity that compares with the peace of Buddha.
Wild Wild Country features a shot in which all Osho’s 93 Rolls-Royces are lined up along the main street of Rajneeshpuram. Osho had talked specifically about his Silver Spur–93 car and how comfortable it was for him. The spiritual leader had developed back problems that were exacerbated by his previous car, the Corniche’s seats
How Did Osho Get 93 Rolls-Royce
Osho was known to abstain from accepting monetary offers. His teachings went against it. Osho’s wealth came from gifts from his followers across the world. Rajneesh’s love of Rolls-Royces was surpassed only by his followers’ love for him, so they continued to buy him new ‘Rollers’, and often. As Rajneesh himself would say when speaking about his cars, “They were presents from outside, from all over the world.” Rolls-Royce appreciated the business so much that they sent engineers to the Rajneeshpuram service centre to maintain the custom-painted fleet.
What Happened To The Cars
Most of Osho’s wealth and assets were liquidated after his passing. Some of his belongings, like the mansions, cars, planes and guns, were cleverly bought back by his followers. For $7 million, a Texan man named Bob Roethlisberger purchased 85 of Osho’s vehicles. Before Bob died, he sold forty-three of them individually, and the remaining ones were put up for auction.
