Milind Soman Posts Photo Wearing A Nose Pin And Kohl-Lined Eyes. Fans Wonder If He’s Promoting Laxmii!

If you thought the controversy aroused by his beach photo in a birthday suit meant Milind Soman was done with 2020, think again. The 55-year-old model-actor-athlete has managed to make us shamelessly ogle at his Instagram once again. Nope, it’s not another picture in the buff, but a photo of him that’s straight out of a Laxmii promotion. Or so it looks. Kohl-lined eyes, a nose pin and vermillion adorning his face, the picture give you the slightest confirmation that it is indeed the 16 December actor. And might I add, he looks Made In India to the T!

Milind Soman posted the picture, which doesn’t reveal his entire face but enough to see how stunning he looks! I love the nose pin, but I think, as Al Pacino spoke in Scarface, the eyes, Chico! The sheer intensity in the look is probably more than I experienced in the entire Laxmii movie (read our review yet?).

In fact, many people in the comments couldn’t help but wonder if he donned the look because he was promoting the Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani film, since it dropped on Disney+Hotstar last night.

Now if you, like me, found it hard to tear your eyes away from this enchanting sight, and want more of that, then unfortunately, there’s some intezaar in our bhavishya. Contrary to popular assumption, no Milind Soman isn’t promoting any movie, but it’s sure some kind of new project he’s working on. According to his cryptic caption, he was spent the last few days in Karjat, Maharashtra, doing “some fun things” that he won’t reveal to us just yet. He is now off to Chennai, I guess, doing more of that fun stuff.

In the meantime, the comments on his post are pouring in, with everyone commending him on pulling the look off like the beautiful man he is. I can only imagine the thirsty DMs he must be getting right now! Even wifey Ankita Konwar couldn’t resist commenting!

 

While Laxmii has failed to deliver any of the trans representation and sensitivity that it promised, here’s hoping if Milind Soman is planning on treading on similar waters, he does a better job. Meanwhile, Soman has been charged with public obscenity and sharing lewd images online (of the same event) following a complaint by a political party called Goa Suraksha Manch. The party thinks Soman has “used Goa for cheap publicity” and his stunt might make people think that anything can happen in Goa. Meanwhile, Milind Soman’s wife Ankita Konwar has defended the picture and called it a message of body positivity and being free and happy with who you are. Several other celebs, including Pooja Bedi, have also spoken in his support.

The bigger argument that arises is why Poonam Pandey, who was also arrested in Goa on an obscenity charge for allegedly shooting a porn video, is being trolled and prosecuted for this. Or why someone like a Malaika Arora would be trolled and abused for posting such a picture online, male actors like Milind Soman and Anil Kapoor are actually celebrated for flaunting their bods, thus indicating a double standard amongst the followers.

But coming back to this picture…. I cannot wait to see what this project is that has got Milind Soman looking a different kind of smokin’ hot!
